2023 U16 and U21 Shore World Championships Domburg, Netherlands
England have a new U16 World Champion with Curtis Driver taking the Gold Trophy and the U21 Team take the Bronze Trophy.
Curtis and the England U16 Team took the lead on the first day but changing conditions took their toll on day two. Curtis persevered and fought back on days 3 and 4 to take Gold for his Team and England. The U21 Team just kept in the frame on the first two days, but fished hard to get back in the medals in days 3 and 4, just missing out on Silver by a single point.
A massive Congratulations to Curtis and both the U21 Team with their Bronze and the U16 Team with a commendable 5th place.
All the Teams, Managers and Parents have given their time and huge commitments to enable the Teams to compete this year. The Juniors and Youths have competed hard in these championships and their performances in the conditions and changing tactics over 4 days of hard fishing must be respected and congratulated.
We are confident that some of these youngsters will make their way into the Seniors England Team in the future.
A final thank you to the Sponsors ASSO and Tronixpro who supported and provided the Team shirts and hoodies for the Championships.
